I Don t Want To Renew My Aviva Car Insurance

Why I Don't Want To Renew My Aviva Car Insurance

Aviva is one of the leading car insurance providers in the UK and for many years I was a happy customer. But recently I decided to not renew my policy and here’s why.

High Costs

When I first purchased my Aviva car insurance policy a few years ago, I thought the costs were quite reasonable and within my budget. But over the years the costs have been on the rise, so much so that I found myself paying more than I could afford. I was faced with a tough decision to either stick with Aviva and keep paying the high premiums or switch to another provider with better rates. After much deliberation, I decided to switch.

Poor Customer Support

I’ve had some really bad experiences with Aviva’s customer service. For example, during my last renewal, I tried to contact them several times to ask questions about the policy and to make changes, but it took them ages to get back to me. Even when they did, their responses were not satisfactory and I felt like I was being ignored. This was the last straw for me and it was the main reason I decided to not renew my policy with Aviva.

Limited Coverage

Another reason why I decided to leave Aviva was because of the limited coverage they offered. I was looking for more comprehensive cover, such as breakdown cover, legal cover, and personal injury cover, but Aviva didn’t offer these services. This was a major downside for me, as I wanted the best cover possible so that I could have peace of mind on the roads.

No Discounts

I also found that Aviva didn’t offer any discounts or rewards, which I found quite disappointing. I was looking for a provider that could offer me discounts for things like having a clean driving record, having multiple cars insured with them, or having a no claims bonus. Unfortunately, Aviva didn’t offer any of these discounts and I ended up looking elsewhere.

Conclusion

Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience with Aviva car insurance and I decided to not renew my policy. Although they had some good points, such as a wide range of products and good online services, I felt that the downsides outweighed the positives. So I opted to switch to another car insurance provider with better rates, better customer service, and more comprehensive coverage.
